The Zlandicar encounter has another ridge we can use. This is another situation where you need to adjust the height of the ridge and how far back you need to stand in order to be able to fire arrows. As the dragon gets pushed by the raid force, the safe area where you can fire from changes. This one you really have to feel out for yourself.
Practice with these ridges is necessary in order for them to be reliably safe from AoE.
